Who Are Private Lessons For?
Private lessons are designed for dog owners who want to:
- Be actively involvedin every step of the training process. (You’ll be working directly with your dog under our guidance, which is fun and rewarding for both of you.)
- Learn alongside their dogsHumane, rewards-based techniques (80%+ positive reinforcement) effective for all breeds and ages
- Train in a familiar environment.(By working in your own home, your dog can focus better with fewer distractions, and we can address behaviors exactly where they happen – no travel needed!)
How Our In-Home Training Works:
Initial Consultation:
Every journey starts with a friendly meet-and-greet. We’ll sit down with you and your dog to chat about their personality, your concerns, and your training goals. This getting-to-know-you session helps us understand what makes your pup tick.Together, we’ll craft a custom training plan that fits your dog’s unique needs and your lifestyle.
Weekly 1-Hour Lessons:
Once a week, our trainer comes to your home for a fun, interactive training session (about 60 minutes). During each lesson, we’ll teach your dog new skills and polite behaviors. You’ll be right there participating – don’t worry, we’ll coach you on exactly what to do. We cover everything from basic commands like sit, stay, and come, to addressing specific issues like leash pulling or jumping on guests. Between lessons, you’ll practice with your dog to reinforce what they’ve learned (we leave you with clear “homework,” so you know what to do – no bones about it!).
Progress & Support:
As the weeks go by, you’ll start to see exciting changes in your dog. Perhaps they settle down more easily, walk nicely on leash, or follow your commands with enthusiasm. We adjust each lesson based on your dog’s progress – speeding up when they’re catching on, or slowing down to work through any challenges. You’ll also gain confidence in handling your pup. We’re always available for questions in between sessions, because consistency is key and we want you to feel supported.Expect a stronger bond with your furry friend, a deeper understanding of their needs, and the joy of a calmer, happier household.
