1-Week Board & Train

• Household Basics: Commands like sit, down, and stay – essential manners every dog should know.
• Polite Behavior: Curbing those pesky habits like jumping up on people and bolting through doors. We introduce the concept of “place” (settling on a bed or mat) and proper door manners so your dog learns not to dash outside or knock over visitors in excitement.
• Leash Etiquette: Although one week is a short time, we begin work on loose-leash walking and not pulling, so you can enjoy more pleasant walks.

By the end of the week, your dog will have a solid foundation to build on.
This program is perfect for puppies or dogs that need a quick training boost – perhaps they just need to brush up on basics or you want to kickstart training before continuing with lessons at home.

You’ll be amazed at how much a focused week can achieve. We’ll send your pup home with newly learned skills and provide you with guidance on practicing these behaviors so they stick.

(Many owners follow up a 1-week Board & Train with our private lessons to reinforce and continue the progress, but that’s completely up to you!)

What’s Included in Every Board & Train:

• Daily One-on-One Training: Every single day, your dog works directly with our trainer in multiple sessions. We reinforce commands, address behavioral issues, and track progress closely. This consistent, focused training is what makes the Board & Train results so remarkable.
• Fun & Enrichment: It’s not all work and no play! Your pup will have plenty of exercise and playtime to burn off energy and keep their mind sharp. We incorporate agility equipment, puzzle toys, and play sessions into their routine. Whether it’s a romp in the yard, a sniffari (sniffing adventure), or a game of fetch, we ensure your dog is physically satisfied and happy each day.
• Comfortable Accommodations: Your dog won’t be stuck in a kennel for hours on end. They’ll stay in a home setting with a comfy space to relax, whether that’s a cozy crate with soft bedding (if crate-trained) or a dog-safe room to lounge in. At night, they sleep in safe, clean quarters. We keep their feeding schedule and diet consistent (you can provide their food to avoid tummy upsets), and administer any medications or supplements as needed.
• 24/7 Care and Supervision: Rest easy knowing that your dog is supervised around the clock. We’re there evenings and weekends, not just during training hours. Someone is always keeping an eye on the pups – your dog gets potty breaks, water, and attention throughout the day and night. Our top priority is your dog’s safety and well-being at all times.
• Socialization Opportunities: If your dog is friendly with other dogs, we’ll carefully pair them for monitored play sessions with other compatible dogs (for example, other dogs in our program or our own calm, well-trained dog if we feel it’s beneficial). This helps them practice their social skills in a controlled way. If your dog prefers people over other pets, that’s okay too – we cater to their comfort level.
• Regular Updates: We know you’ll miss your furry friend, so we make sure to keep you in the loop. Expect updates on how your dog is doing – we’ll send text or email updates, photos of your pup working or playing, and progress reports each week. You’ll see their improvements and maybe even some fun candid shots of them enjoying their “camp.”
• Go-Home Lesson & Support: When the Board & Train is completed, we schedule a thorough transfer session with you. During this go-home lesson, we’ll demonstrate everything your dog has learned and coach you on how to keep it up. You’ll practice the commands and techniques with your dog under our guidance. We also give you written instructions and tips. But our support doesn’t end there – we remain available for follow-up questions and will check in with you after a few days to see how things are going. Our goal is to set you and your dog up for long-term success.
